Birthday of Bhavan Swami


Ollur and its people has a very long association with the Landmark Hotel Sree Bhavan in Ollur. K. G. Narayanan a.k.a "Bhavan Swami" as fondly called by Ollur people is celebrating his 75th Birthday. The Masala Dosas, Iddli-Vada and other specialities are a nostalgia for everyone in Ollur. C & O ad-ventures being a Graphic design firm with roots in Ollur had the honours to design the invitation and be a part of the Grand Birthday Bash.

Christmas Crib at Ollur Church


Christmas and Santaclaus are at the doorstep. Ollur Church and the CLC boys are in top gear to finish their Cribs. This year we have two. One outside the Church (near the cemetery) and the other inside the Church on the Marian Manadapam on the Northern wing.

El Shaddai Moving Bookstall Bus


The moving Bookstall of Attappady Sehiyon Retreat Centre is in Ollur Church for a week. It has a large collection of religious articles on display and for sale.

Shrine Status to Ollur Church


It is unofficial but we came to know that St. Antony's Forane Church in Ollur got the Shrine status for St. Raphael and a Pilgrim Centre for the Saint in Kerala. The Official announcement is expected in the near future.

Last Man Standing


The last shop still open on Sunday 4th November after the Perunnal. All other shops have gone to other places.

Huge LCD CCTV in Ollur Church


Two big screen LCD TV's were installed in Ollur Church during this years Perunnal. It is a good move to bring the Holy Mass and other prayers on the Alter to the worshippers at the back end of the Church

Marian Month Conclusion


The marian Month of October was concluded by a Grand Japamala Rally from all units to Ollur Church.

All Souls Day at Ollur Church


Perunnal Ettamidom on 31 Oct 2012


Malakayude Perunnal of Ollur this year ended with a Musical Nite. Fresh load of Karimbu was unloaded on 31st morning. By evening Pallinada was vibrant with Icecream vendors, Balloon sellers and people who came to enjoy the Ganamela. Due to the rain, the venue was shifted from Ground to the Pandhal inside the church premises. We at Thekkiniyath House celebrated Halloween also with Pumpkins and Fireworks...!!
